With so many things going in Sports these days from Champions League To CLT T20, the craze of US OPEN is still at its peak.People like to see big names sweating out in the court for thier fans. With the ending of Day 4 of of the competition people saw what they came for, i mean, to see thier favourite players getting qualify for the next round. In Men's category names like Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer won their individual matches respectively to get into the 3rd round.
Nadal who was sidelined for seven months due to the injury but hard work & his determination have again made him a force in tennis & you can see this thing in his 6-1,6-0 victory over Rogerio Dutra Silva of Brazil to reach the 3rd round of US OPEN.The victory improved his record of 17-0 on hardcourts this year.Nadal, after his victory said "He was enormously satisfied with his performance & you need to work hard after coming from a injury".
Roger Federer won his match against Carlos Berlocq 6-3,6-2,6-1.The swiss cruised to victory in 3 straight sets.Indian contingent had a successful day as Sania Mirza & Leander Paes made winning starts in their respective Double events, but another veteran Mahesh Bhupati lost his first round match at the US OPEN.
In women's category, Victoria Azarenka continued her good run with a victory over Aleksandra Wozniak in straight 2 sets with a scoreline of 6-3,6-1. Serena Williams also enjoyed a victory over Galina Voskoboeva in straight 2 sets with score 6-3,6-0.
With all the big names coming to thier ace game, it would be awesome to see them head to head in coming days. Till then, keep on telling whose your favourites for this year's title..!! :)
