Helloo, Blogger Friends..!! This is my first attempt at blogging & im pretty nervous for it..I hope it starts on a good note.. the Blog i am starting today is all related to Sports. All about it.Whether its new or old memories of great matches & its analysis. So, I'm gonna start today from the greatest cricket test rivalry ever anyone can see, i.e., THE ASHES...I hope you all like it! :)
With the greatest test rivalry just winding up in England, i.e., THE
ASHES...I look back to some of the moments that took place inside & outside
the stadium that shaped the England's 3-0 victory over Australia. The First Test
took me to 2005 Ashes Test Series, where
England won the match by just 2 runs, compared to this test where England won
by just 14 runs. But, in 2005 both teams had their big names still in the
team. The First Test took place at Trent Bridge on 10th july.
Australia's build up to this Ashes was not ideal as Darrel Lehmann was named the coach just before the series was about to start which resulted in some poor results.David Warner, who is known for his explosive batting style inside the stadium was explosive outside the stadium too.As getting failed in the batting & getting a defeat by England in Champions trophy, Warner got into a brawl with English batsman Joe Root.

The most controversial thing that happened in this series, when Stuart
Broad refused to walk when it was clearly seen on the screen that ball had gone
off to the slip fielder, getting a thick outside edge. The Australian team went
to a joy mode as they thought they got a wicket they needed. But, they were
astonished to see when Aleem Dar, the on-field umpire, declined the appeal
& didn't give the decision Australian team wanted & expected. If Broad,
would have been dismissed that time, England's lead would have been just
232.Broad went on to score 65 in that innings & England got a lead of 310.
In The 2nd Innings, Australia got off to a great start, both the openers setting up a great start with a partnership of 84 gave some hope to the Australian team. But, wickets in quick successions gave England the edge.Australia lost their 6 wickets in their next 84 runs.the match was in the hands of England team, but one should never stop believing in the fighting spirit of the Australian's.In comes, Brad Haddin..not in the form of his life, Haddin started confidently & took on the England bowlers, at the other end, the wickets were falling, But, Christian Agar, helped Haddin to play by spending time with him at the crease.Australia needed only 14 runs.Haddin was caught by Prior behind the wickets with bowling from James Anderson..the decison was given by the Third Umpire & England players were aesthetic by winning the First Ashes Test.
The conclusion of the First Test Match was in the favour of the English side. Some great batting from English side & with mesmerising bowling from the Australians & also, the fighting spirit shown by them & some misguided decisions from the on-field umpires made this test match worth watching..!! :)
